POLICE are watching hours of closed-circuit footage from Canterbury Hospital for clues to the identity of baby Ahn's mother.
The Department of Family and Community Services has received no calls since launching an appeal for the newborn boy, who was left at the hospital on March 5, just hours after being delivered.
Campsie police obtained footage from the hospital and spent yesterday interviewing members of the Korean community about the woman, who is a 30-year-old Korean.
Family and Community Services Minister Pru Goward said the little boy, who is staying with Sydney foster carers, had moved all the caseworkers who had dealt with him.
"Baby Ahn has touched the hearts of the caseworkers and his foster carers, who are doing an incredible job," Ms Goward said.
She had concerns about the mother's welfare and urged anyone with information to come forward.
