A MAN has been extradited from New Zealand to face charges for throwing petrol on a man and setting him alight in Sydney?s west in 2010.
It is alleged the offender had an argument with the victim at a home in Blacktown when he doused the man in petrol and set him on fire.
Following an intensive year long investigation the man was arrested in New Zealand in December last year and taken into custody.
He will face a raft of offences the most serious of which is causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
The man was refused bail and will face Waverly Local Court today.
